Colloidal Silver- Benefits and Uses

The benefits Colloidal Silver offers are vast. Colloidal Silver acts as a natural antibiotic and has many benefits and uses. But what is Colloidal Silver? Colloidal Silver is a solution of tiny silver particles suspended in a liquid base. It was first used for medical reasons by a surgeon in 1891, who used it to clean wounds. It was fairly popular until the 1940s, when doctors started using antibiotics. Today it is only sold as a dietary supplement. 

Colloidal Silver is a wonderful treatment for topical wounds in both pets and people. Colloidal Silver has no taste or smell & doesn’t sting making it easy to use in place of hydrogen peroxide or alcohol. Ingestion however, should be limited to a specific treatment time as it acts as a natural antibiotic. Prolonged use of any form of antibiotic may kill both the good and the bad flora, which can leave you depleted to fight of infection later. 13 COLLOIDAL SILVER Treatments

1. Ear infections– using a dropper put 5ml of Colloidal Silver undiluted into the ear and lay with the ear facing up for 7 minutes. Drain and continue on. This treatment should only be required 1x. The earache is usually gone by the next day. If the ear infection persists it may be an inner ear infection and may require antibiotics. In most cases this does the trick. My son was born premature and didn’t react well to antibiotics and the nurse taught me this trick. Worked like a charm every time.
2. Swimmers Ear- to prevent an ear infection after swimming in a public pool, lake or any suspect water, do the protocol listed above for ear infections, but 3 minutes instead of 7. This is highly effective with children and can prevent your little ones from suffering needlessly. Do as soon as you get home and simple ear infections from swimming will be no more.
3. Sinus Infections/Colds – put Colloidal Silver undiluted into a spray bottle and squirt into your nostrils, snuff up and use your fingers to massage your sinuses, repeat every 2-4 hours until symptoms are gone. If you use a sinus cleaner (Neti Pot or equivalent etc.) add a dropper of Colloidal Silver to your solution.
4. Cough Drops – great for easing a cold, cough, flu or bacterial throat infection
5. Mouthwash & Throat Spray – use after brushing your teeth to gently, with no taste or sting, clean your mouth. Great for strep throat!
6. To help your pets drinking water stay pure – put a drop into his water bowl to keep it fresh longer.
7. Humidifier – put a few drops into your personal humidifier every time you fill with water to keep it bacteria free. Peace of mind that the air you are breathing is pure. 
8. Wounds on People & Pets– If your pet, child or yourself has as abscess or an open wound. Pour or spray colloidal silver over the wound, or add to wound dressings such as bandaids
9. Pink Eye & Eye Infections People & Pets- use in liquid or gel form and rub around eye. Or as an eye drop, place a drop on the inner corner of your eye, blink rapidly to disperse. Also works with allergy eyes. Do not use while wearing contacts.
10. Canker Sores -works miracles! Hold & swish around in your mouth for 3 minutes. By morning they’ll be gone if you catch it early enough.
11. Cold Sores or Any Herpes Outbreak – for mouth herpes use a hot warm cloth and heat up the affected area. Once its soft on put a drop of Colloidal Silver directly onto the spot. Can be in gel form or mixed in aloe gel. For genital herpes, add to bath water or into a sitz bath with a pinch of salt. Sit at least 3 minutes. Allow area to air dry.
12. For use in Hot Tubs – when you change your water add 4oz of 5000ppm to your hot-tub water. For many this eliminates the need to continuously balance the pH and can greatly reduce the need for chemicals. It is compatible with Bromine and Chlorine, but it allows you to use very little. Do continue to oxidize your hot tub, as this allows particles to be caught by your filter. Ensuring a clean bathing experience.
13.  For Use in Bath Water- pour 1 oz of 1000ppm into your bath water to gently nourish your skin and help heal sunburns, scratches or skin ailments. 
    

How to Use Colloidal Silver for Your Pets
